FAQ's
What kind of therapy do you provide?
I work with adult individuals across the lifespan and specialize in a unique blend of CBT, mindfulness, existential and relational therapy, and psychodynamic influences. I pay attention to the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, our search for meaning and need for deep relationships, and the impact of past experiences on current patterns of behavior. I believe mindfulness plays an essential role in emotional balance and showing up to our lives fully.
What insurance do you take? I am currently in network with the following: Aetna, Anthem EAP, BCBS of Illinois, BCBS of Massachusetts, Carelon, Behavioral Health, Cigna, Horizon, BCBS of New Jersey Independence, Blue Cross Pennsylvania, and Quest Behavioral Health.

Are sessions virtual only? No. While virtual therapy is popular, I am a big fan of in-person therapy and meet clients both in-person and virtually.

What makes for successful therapy?
Trust and Heart! Trust built within the client-therapist relationship is essential to client progress. When selecting a therapist, clients should choose a therapist whom they feel comfortable talking to and feel like "they get me." Another green flag is feeling challenged at times, knowing your therapist isn't afraid to introduce a new idea or help you get unstuck from maladaptive patterns. Clients who get the most out of therapy are consistent, curious, introspective, and willing to take risks. While it is the client's job to be open to the process, it is my job to listen deeply to your concerns, offer practical feedback, and be adaptable to the work. Therapy is a collaborative relationship built on mutual respect and trust.
Some signs therapy is working: You feel you know and understand yourself more, and are better able to express your wants and needs to others. Problems feel more manageable. More emotional balance. Improved relationships and/or work satisfaction. Increased capacity for tolerating uncertainty. Ability to enjoy life and live in the present. More acceptance of thoughts and feelings and self compassion.
